Floaters are perceived as small dots, circles, specks, or lines that float in your field of vision. They are in fact tiny clumps that float in the vitreous of your eye. The result is what appears to be “floaters”, which are actually the shadows of these clumps. Floaters can sometimes be caused by inflammation inside the eye or if the individual is nearsighted.
Flashes are perceived as flashing lights in the person’s field of visions. Sometimes appearing as streaks, an individual may experience flashes due to migraines or physical injuries.
