The creative team at Immagine Eyewear introduces Rye & Lye – a design synthesis between past and future – where design, the qualities of excellence, Italian inspiration and speed, come together to breathe life into a new style, a new way of seeing, interpreting and creating design objects.

 

Rye & Lye embodies and interprets the concept of Future Retro, redesigning products that bear the stylistic DNA of the past but, thanks to new proportions, interpretations and technological applications, have an exceptional affinity for the future.

Mr. Rye, Professor of Contemporary Art at Woodroy University, and Mr. Lye, industrial designer for Sarckatone, present a concept of ‘design influence’ with a new collection of eyewear and accessories.

To the eyewear market, Rye & Lye represents a new all-Italian expression in which creativity forges a union with technology in a design synthesis between past and future, dedicated to the sophisticated wearer, one who makes mature choices, and is a player in the trendsetting arena. Out of the Rye & Lye project come eyewear designs inspired by the shapes of the ‘60s and ‘70s, favored by Audrey Hepburn, Jaqueline Kennedy, and Steve Mc Queen, that have been propelled into the present by the use of innovative, high performance materials. The unique pairings of materials chosen for each frame are extremely contemporary: wood or aluminium combined with rubber, or steel combined with leather and carbon fiber.

Rye & Lye is driven by a force of its own – its design concept is contemporary and its language is International. This brand was born to be a citizen of the world.

The Rye & Lye collection draws inspiration from bolidism, a stylistic approach that brings original and accentuated dynamism to shape derived in part from futuristic tendencies and American streamlining, but also from research into organic forms and architectural styles from the ‘30s. The result is a unique product that speaks to the hearts of those creative types who feel they are the champions of their own lives. Rye&Lye’s communication reflects this same way of seeing and interpreting the world and does so through important people – important not because they are famous, but because they are the architects of their own life experiences, thanks to their strong personalities and character traits.
